First rehearsals for Luk Perceval’s “3STRS”

Rehearsals for “3STRS” directed by Luk Perceval started at TR Warszawa. The play is a co-production of TR Warszawa and the Helena Modrzejewska National Old Theatre in Kraków.

This is the first performance directed in Poland by Perceval – one of the world’s most important contemporary theater creators. The performance is a part of the international line of TR Warszawa. Based on the motifs of Anton Chekhov‘s “Three sisters”, “3STRS” is a portrait of an aging Europe, which does not want to give in to the passage of time. The title characters long not for Moscow, but for the past irretrievably lost.

The author of the adaptation is director Luk Perceval, the set design is created by Philip Bussmann, costumes by Annelies Van Laere, and lights are created by Mark Van Denesse. The director’s assistants are Alek Niemiro and Aleksandra Śliwińska, while the production manager is Karolina Pająk-Sieczkowska. The play is co-created by actresses and actors from TR Warszawa and the National Old Theatre: Jacek Beler, Zygmunt Józefczak, Natalia Kalita, Rafał Maćkowiak, Maria Maj, Jacek Romanowski, Małgorzata Zawadzka, Mirosław Zbrojewicz and Oksana Czerkaszyn.

The Warsaw premiere of the play is scheduled for April 2021, the Kraków premiere for May 2021.
