Biography

Actor at TR Warszawa. A graduate of the State Higher School of Theatre in Warsaw (now the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Theatre Academy in Warsaw).

He made his debut in 1981 as the Draper in Master Pierre Pathelin at the Leon Kruczkowski Lubusz Theatre in Zielona Góra. Between 1993 and 1994, he was associated with Teatr Szwedzka 2/4, where he performed, among others, in Woyzeck, directed by Wojciech Maryański.

From 1994 to 2001, he was a member of the ensemble of TR Warszawa (formerly Teatr Rozmaitości), where he created numerous roles, including in Tropical Craze directed by Grzegorz Horst d’Albertis (1997), The Story of the Merciful Woman, or the Dog’s Testament directed by Piotr Cieplak (1997), The Magnetism of the Heart directed by Sylwia Torsh (1999), Hamlet directed by Krzysztof Warlikowski (1999), and Prince Myshkin directed by Mikołaj Warianow (2000).

From 2003 to 2010, he was associated with Teatr Studio (now STUDIO teatrgaleria), where he worked with directors including Zbigniew Brzoza (The Seagull, Ball at the Eagle), Agnieszka Glińska (How I Became a Witch), Ivan Vyrypaev (Marriage), Nikolai Kolyada (The Government Inspector), Natalia Korczakowska (Demons), and Marcin Liber (The End Is Not Us).

In subsequent years, he made guest appearances at TR Warszawa, including in 2007: Macbeth directed by Grzegorz Jarzyna (2005), as well as in productions directed by Przemysław Wojcieszek — Whatever Happens, I Love You (2005) and Two Poor Romanians Speaking Polish (2006).

Since 2018, he has been associated with the Arnold Szyfman Polish Theatre, where he has appeared in productions including The King directed by Monika Strzępka (2018), Liberation directed by Anna Augustynowicz (2018), and Boris Godunov directed by Peter Stein (2019).

One of his most recent theatre productions was the title role in King Lear, directed by Anna Augustynowicz, a co-production of the Helena Modrzejewska Theatre in Legnica and the Jan Kochanowski Theatre in Opole (premiered in 2020).

Mirosław Zbrojewicz has appeared in more than two hundred television series and feature and animated films, including the comedy Chłopaki nie płaczą directed by Olaf Lubaszenko (2000), Floating Skyscrapers directed by Tomasz Wasilewski (2013), and 11 Minutes directed by Jerzy Skolimowski (2015), as well as in numerous productions for Polish Radio Theatre and Television Theatre. He is also a well-known dubbing actor.

On October 1, 2020, he rejoined the ensemble of TR Warszawa.
