Quantum Physics, or Conversations Never Had

Eight-year-old Julek invites you to his extraordinary world where anything is possible. Here, you will meet Julek at different stages of life and in various guises, in an infinite number of intersecting worlds, which activate different versions of the same stories and relations. Julek is not afraid of anything or anyone here. He doesn’t feel shame. He doesn’t know any insecurities. He sees ghosts, talks to plants and absorbs dreams straight from MTV. Along the way, we also meet Julek’s dad, Mateusz from the next school desk and a preschool teacher named Czesia, as well as many other people to whom Julek can finally say what he never had the courage to say before.

Demons from the past, consequences of not so much informed decisions, but rather those driven by generational trauma and systemic abuse, whose impact can only be seen in hindsight. These are deadly serious topics performed in Quantum Physics in a deadly funny way.

In a performance that borders on stand-up comedy, a coming-of-age narrative, confessional art and a one-(wo)man show, Julia Wyszyńska creates an imaginary safe space that allows her to take on various roles (and place the audience in various roles as well) and to work together through the more or less collective memory of childhood.
